Calicut, on the coast of Malabar

Abstract
View of British sailing ships on the Arabian Sea, near the coast of the city of Calicut, a fishing town with four European factories in the late 18th century. A group of small buildings appear on the coast, in front of a dense forest of palm trees, with four flags flying above the trees, and mountains in the distance. (See Oriental memoirs.)
